Julian Gorten lets things happen. He assembles sculptures putting together found objects and organic materials. His creations – mostly dark – contrast their background. They often have a raw laquer finish.
What grows under Gorten ́s hands are archaic figures, reminders of animals or plants, but also abstract forms. Common to all of Gorten ́s works is a strong presence and an appealing intensity.
At POP;68 Gorten presents an elaborate arrangement of his works: He guides the visitor from loose encounters with the sculptures to a close and intense final.
